The IBM Storage Device Driver for VMware VAAI is a software plugin that integrates with the VMware ESX and ESXi environment, as part of the VMware vStorage APIs for Array Integration. The IBM software plugin consists of a kernel module that reports to the VMware VAAI driver and allows offloading extended VMware operations to IBM DS8000, IBM Storwize V7000, IBM System Storage SAN Volume Controller, and the IBM XIV Storage System. |
